prerequisite

a Business Management degree or a Bachelor of Science (NQF 7). Experience managing water resources for five to ten years, five of which should be at the middle or senior management level.

level. degree in Integrated Water Resource Management, knowledge and experience in the water sector and water-related laws and regulations
understanding and practical application of management and commercial ideas.
understanding of the Public Service Act and its regulations. understanding of and practical expertise with human resources, resource allocation, and strategy planning. analysis and problem-solving appropriate experience in the creation and administration of institutions for water management.

Understanding of water consumption and integrated water resource management efficiency. shown leadership and management skills. High-level ability to interact both domestically and globally. Employment roles

Exercise direction within the Directorate. Provide guidance on policies and initiatives that are pertinent to the Department to top management, the legislature, and appropriate sector groups. Effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders as necessary

sectors regarding Departmental initiatives and to encourage participation. Be careful to make it easier for Catchments Management Agencies (CMAs) and other water management institutions to be established (WMIs). Ensure that water resource operations in the Inkomati CMA, Olifants pro to CMA, and WMIs are strategically planned, coordinated, and managed. The promotion of intergovernmental cooperation and the ideals of good governance must be ensured and supervised.

Maintain communication and make sure external stakeholders are effectively involved,as a director is your duty to sustain work.
With the appropriate WMA, manage and deliver implementation plans for all water resource initiatives.

Promote and oversee programs for water resource management and efficient water usage. Coordinate and see to it that each water’s Catchments Management Strategy is developed.
