Salary : R128 166 per year
Prerequisite
Candidates must demonstrate competence in the core duties of the post that they are applying for;
Have a command of at least two official languages, one of which must be English;
Have South African nationality;
Applicants will be put through a vetting process that includes security screening and fingerprint verification; they must not have any prior criminal convictions or departmental cases ongoing.

Have a security clearance of Grade C or above; Not have been found ineligible to possess a handgun; Be willing to participate in firearm competence training; Be willing to maintain firearm proficiency;
must be without a criminal history or active departmental or criminal charges; Having a degree or diploma in security will be advantageous;
Coursework pertinent to the position’s field and a driving record with at least a light-duty endorsement

Responsibilities

Registration of employees, visitors, and contractors; electronic searches of employees, visitors, and contractors; authorization of entry into the premises for employees, visitors, and contractors after complying with all legal requirements; confirmation of visits with hosts; and assurance of escort in accordance with the rules;
providing guests with entrance control cards and receiving them back;
Maintaining the required visitor’s log; Verifying suppliers, items, and objects before allowing them to be used; and
carried into the space to guarantee that its security won’t be jeopardized;
Guard vehicles and equipment in the field ONLY from a security standpoint; Patrol buildings and fenced-off areas; Check all security officer facilities and equipment; Take appropriate action as necessary;
Alert senior security officials to any flaws or issues with relation to security-related issues.
