Funza Lushaka Bursary

Applications for the 2023 Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme are now being accepted. The Funza Lushaka Bursary covers all of your university expenses so you can continue your education without worrying about money. A multi-year program called the Funza Lushaka Bursary Program promotes teaching as a career. Students who may complete a teaching qualification in a field considered to be of priority are eligible for the bursaries.

To be eligible for the Funza Lushaka Bursary, you must fulfill the requirements listed below

Students in Grade 12

Graduates seeking to finish their teaching certification applying  for a PGCE

Individuals seeking to change careers and teach; and

People seeking employment who wish to educate.

Important

Whether a student meets all other qualifying requirements, they are also eligible for the Funza Lushaka Bursary if they are enrolled in online, distance learning, or part-time education.

Funza Lushaka Bursary scholarship is given for one academic year at a time, but if the recipient can demonstrate academic performance, the scholarship may be extended yearly until they are eligible to become teachers.
